Apple and Mint Sugar Syrup

Apple and Mint Sugar Syrup

Sugar! Gimme gimme sugar!

Yes, some of us are addicted to sugar and that’s why sugar syrup is always a big component of some cocktails. Why you may ask? Well sugar carries flavour when it comes to drinks and that’s why it’s a great way to infuse more flavour in your average cocktail. So don’t go to the shops and pay over $10 for what is just sugar and water. Stay at home and get creative, cause we’re about to make a sugar syrup that’s so nice, you’ll use it in everything.

Here’s what you’ll need; Apples: Green apples, red apples, it doesn’t matter you don’t even need a while one, just thin slices of apples and use roughly half a handful. Sugar: Get that giant sack of sugar from the back of your cupboard you barely use. Apple Juice: Yes, we’re using a bit of a cheat here so grab some cheap apple juice to make this syrup extra fruity. Mint: Beautiful fresh green mint, the more the merrier. Water: Get this from your tap, its usually one of your two handles, hot and cold, it’s up to you.
